ChargePoint uses a credit-based payment system. When you first charge at a paid station, you'll add $10 to your account balance, which is then used to pay for charging sessions. If your balance drops below $5, another $10 is automatically added. Pricing varies by station owner as ChargePoint stations are independently owned. Payment options include the ChargePoint app, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and RFID cards.

ChargePoint offers three charging levels: Level 1 (standard 120V household outlet, adding 3-5 miles of range per hour), Level 2 (240V, adding 25-50 miles of range per hour, with some units delivering up to 19.2kW), and DC Fast Charging (Level 3) ranging from 50kW to 125kW or higher, capable of charging to 80% in 20-40 minutes. ChargePoint stations support multiple connector types for both AC and DC charging.

ChargePoint provides access to one of the world's largest EV charging networks with over 994,000 charging ports globally through roaming agreements. The ChargePoint app offers real-time station availability, charging status notifications, widgets for quick access, driver tips with photos from other users, and customizable filters. Drivers can seamlessly control both public and home charging in a single app.
